Welcome to the fka Children's Services Multicultural Resource Centre Catalog

The fkaCS Multicultural Resource Centre provides a diverse array of resources to support early childhood education and care services and professionals in their provision of culturally rich environments, including:

• Children’s fiction and non-fiction books in over 75 languages
• English books (topics include emotional health and wellbeing, diversity, equity and advocacy, science and technology, environment, religious and cultural celebrations and more)
• Story bags
• Language learning resources, including flashcards and games
• Dramatic play resources, including food, animals, fabrics and puppets
• Dolls showcasing a range of ethnicities, abilities and occupations
• Audio story CDs and music CDs
• Educational games for small-group or one-on-one experiences
• Percussion musical instruments

How to borrow

To request a package of resources selected for you, complete the Resource Request Form.

Alternatively, to search and submit a list of specific items via the online catalogue:

1. Open the online catalogue and log in with your Username (Membership ID) & Password
2. Search for items in one of two ways:
   • Entering key words in the search bar (located on homepage)
   • Using the Advanced Search button to filter by item types, collections or languages
3. Add items to your cart by clicking the Add to your cart button under each item
4. Click Review your cart (top left of screen) – a new window will open
5. Select all resources using the check boxes
6. Click Send cart – a new window will open
7. Enter library@fka.org.au as the recipient and any additional notes before clicking Send

We will contact you when ready for collection or mail out.
